As a Member of the Fundraising Institute Australia, I abide by their Code of Ethics.

Our Fees are based on time spent: we do not work on commission; nor do we take a percentage.; nor do we accept bonuses.

Before any work is undertaken, we provide you with a written quote which is specific and firm.

Depending on the nature of our working relationship, we may charge on an hourly, daily, weekly or monthly basis. For consultancy, we may charge to fifteen minute intervals for advice by telephone, facsimile or email.. For a major capital campaign which usually requires extended periods of on-site campaign direction, we will charge on a monthly basis.

Currently, our fees for campaign direction are based on a pro-rata weekly rate of A$4750/5250 per week (inclusive of time, travel and accommodation, exclusive of GST) depending on complexity and location.

As an example, a recent campaign to raise $1,000,000, was budgeted at $53,000 all up: fees and operating budget. $2,000,000: $130,000 all up. $500,000: $43,000 in total. The difference? Capital city versus rural; single locality versus regional, simple versus complex organisation.

In general, I would expect a $500/750,000 campaign to cost no more than 8-10% of target. A $1,000,000 campaign should come in at 7-9% of target or better; a $2,000,000 campaign at 5-7%. Conditions vary: ask for a quote.

You will receive a firm quote before any work is agreed to: there are no hidden feeds; no surprises.

An initial consultation is fee and obligation free: we may ask for a contribution towards actual travel expenses only in some circumstances.
